Travis “Bud” Parsons, born September 30, 1936 in Murray County, Ga., died on September 20, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

He served in the United States Air F orce, was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a member of Valley Brook Golf and Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Wiley Parsons; son, David Parsons; grandson, Thomas Fox Parsons and daughter, Pamela Parsons of Hixson; and two brothers, Tommy Parsons and Douglas Parsons; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rembert Parsons and Mamie Jo Whitfield Parsons; two brothers, Jerry and Emmett Parsons; and two sisters, Barbara Jean and Peggy Parsons.

A funeral Mass will be at St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Visitation will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church one hour before the service, beginning at 10 a.m.
