Charles Conyers
Charles Thomas Conyers, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017, in a local hospital.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Lovelady Sammons; fathers, Clarence O. Conyers, Sr. and JB Sammons; brother, Paul Conyers.
Survivors include his brothers, Clarence O. Conyers, Jr., and Joe L. Sammons, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Fannie Conyers Jones of Chattanooga, Susanne Conyers and Marjorie Gardner, both of Dayton, OH; uncle, Pastor Calvin D. Sammons of Fort Worth, TX; aunts, Mary Lovelady of San Diego, CA, Margaret Sammons of Akron, OH, Evelyn Lovelady of Chattanooga, and Betty (Luther) Duboise of Akron, OH; special niece, Danielle (DeVilla) Tucker; great-nephew, Braylon Tucker; a host of other nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 20, from 10-11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
