Bernardine “Bernie” Barbara Gardenbrock, 85, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017.

She was born on April 12, 1933, in Glen Lyon, Pa., to the late Peter A. and Anna Byczkowski.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Gardenbrock and two brothers, Peter and Joseph Byczkowski.

She was a member of the board of directors for Senior Friends and was a volunteer with Gold Circle at Parkridge Hospital.

Bernie was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sister, Jean Byczkowski, nephew, Tom Byczkowski, both of Severn, Md., two great-nieces, two great-nephews, four great-great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tennessee, with Father Charles Burton officiating.
