Ruby Tumlin Trammell, 82, of LaFayette, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
She was passionate about helping others and taught Sunday school throughout her lifetime. Ruby was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. She began her working career with E.T. Barwick Mills and was later employed by LaFayette Health Care as a nursing assistant. She was a loving mother, sister, friend, and a dedicated Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.L. Tumlin and Leona Wilkerson Tumlin; and sisters, Betty June Russell and Rebecca “Becky” Mahan Buchanan.
She is survived by her son, James “Tony” Trammell of LaFayette; and sisters, Susie T. Smith and Joyce T. Hall, both of LaFayette.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, in the LaFayette City Cemetery with Pastor Jon Alverson officiating.
There will be no visitation.
