Moses, Phyllis Ann Madaris (LaFeyette)

Phyllis Ann Madaris Moses, 65, of LaFayette, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017. She was born in Chickamauga to the late Ralph Franklin Madaris and Catherine Dixon Madaris. She was a lifelong resident of the LaFayette area and enjoyed taking care of others. She was a certified nurse assistant and had worked with Hutcheson Hospice, and was the former owner/operator of Heavenly Haven Assisted Living Home. She was a member of Gospel Light Christian Fellowship in LaFayette.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Donna Stoker.

She is survived by her husband: Alvin D. Moses, their children: Serena Kay Moses Dixon, Tonia Kathleen Moses all of LaFayette, Alvin Lee Moses of Ooltewah, sister: Brenda Madaris of Ringgold, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday morning until the funeral. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 7 in the chapel with Pastor Tim Dennison officiating. Burial will be at LaFayette City Cemetery in LaFayette.
