James Loveless

James S. Loveless, age 70, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at a local healthcare facility.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1947 to the late James S. and Kathleen Ware Loveless.

He was the pastor of Pleasant Hill Community Church and was a retired United States Army Veteran after 22 years.

He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Emma Jean Chaney and Maxine McSears, and brother, Johnny Loveless.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margie Ann Suttles Loveless of LaFayette; daughters, Rachelle (Jay) Fletcher and Denise Loveless; sons, James S. (Keisha) Loveless, Jr. and Matthew (Lena) Loveless; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Hardaway; aunts, Mildred Griffin, Nella Bell, and Linda Lacks; sister-in-law, Jessie Harris; brothers-in-law, Michael Suttles and Felix Suttles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A homegoing service will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, at noon at the New Spirit and Truth Assembly of Jesus, 487 Scoggins Street, Summerville, Georgia, with Bishop V.T. Harden and other ministers officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.

Interment will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday at 11 a.m.
