Sally Jane Hutton McKee, 80, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Thursday, February 9, 2017, in a local hospital.
The daughter of the late Robert Stuart Clark Hutton and Margaret Hurt Hutton, she was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and earned a B.A. from Emory & Henry and a M.A. in Library Science from George Peabody College.
She worked at Willmington Public Library, Carol Newman Library, Virginia Tech and Charleston County School System.
She attended Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg and was a member of the Altar Guild.
She was a member of General William Campbell Chapter and Judge David Campbell Chapter of the D.A.R.
She was also a member of the Carolina Yacht Club of Wrightsville Beach, NC, a volunteer docent at the Edmonds Alston House in Charleston, S.C.
Sally is survived by her husband of 55 years, William H. McKee, of Ooltewah; sons, Raymond Robert McKee, of Charleston, S.C., William Stuart (Cindy) McKee, of Odenville, AL, and Samuel Hutton McKee, of Pikeville; grandsons, Ryan Stuart (Ardina) McKee of Fort Drum, NY, and Tyler Norris McKee of Odenville, AL; great-grandsons, Jacob O’Dell McKee and Kyle Ryan McKee both of Ft. Drum, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg, on Monday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. central time with Reverend Kim Hobby officiating. Interment will be in Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery, in Glade Spring, Va.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
