Glenda C. Painter, 70, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milburn and Madeline Smith; sister, Sherron Wilson; brother-in-law, Lynn Souther; and niece Shelia Souther.

She was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald J. Painter of the residence; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette Souther, Donna and Larry Stevens, all of Dalton and Judy and Ralph Weaver of Rocky Face; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Pat Smith of Albany, Dewayne and Janice Smith of Rocky Face and Ricky and Carol Smith of the Praters' Mill Community; brother-in-law, Leon Wilson; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 19, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 18 from 4-7 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Dalton.
