Young, Linda Skelton (Cleveland)

Linda Skelton Young, 73, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at a local Senior Living Facility .

She loved gospel music and traveling.  She was a beautician and also was a substitute teacher for the Bradley County School System before she started driving a school bus.    

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her first husband, Watis Eugene “Slim” Skelton, who passed away in 1999; her second husband, George Wright “G.W.” Young, who passed away in 2010; her parents, Clint Dunn and Nina Lacy Dunn; and her sister, Dortha Mull.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Gregory Grabus of Raleigh, N.C., and Tammie and Kevin  Owensby of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Kayla Owensby and Tanner Owensby both of Cleveland; and one sister, Peggy Morrison.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
