Wilson, Rex Gale (Cleveland)

Rex Gale Wilson, 62, of Bradley County, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in a Chattanooga hospital.

 He was an avid fan of Bradley Central High School where he volunteered at many sporting events and attended Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with family and friends.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Wilson and Lucy Coe Wilson; brothers, Gilbert Wilson and J.L. Wilson; and infant sister, Frances Wilson.

He is survived by two sisters, Willistine “Cookie” Woods and husband, Steve of Cleveland and Maxine Williams and husband, J.C. of Old Fort; two brothers, Jerry Wilson and wife, Billie and Bill Wilson and wife, Mary all of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Woods officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Stanley  Millsaps, Chris Dunn, Nick Dunn, John Owenby, Hayden Owenby, Billy Wilson and  Bud Holmes will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the Ralph Buckner Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
