Ed Malone, 89, a resident of Cleveland, went to his heavenly home on May 18, 2017, in a local nursing facility.

He was of the Church of God faith and a retired roofing contractor. 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Cordelia Malone; daughter Ruth Curtis of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers: Claude, Paul, Homer, and Jack Malone; sisters: Nell Richardson and Paralee Pike.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years, Dixie Malone; daughters Linda Cain (Charlie) of Corpus Christi, TX, Ann Gilbert (Larry), Ethel Bullington (Tony); sons Eddie Malone and Phil Malone; grandchildren: Tammy Baker, Joe “Bubb” Weaver, and Charlie Cain of Corpus Christi, TX, Lori Riad (Mark), Kayla Bullington, and Nathaniel Malone all of Cleveland, and Robert Curtis (Joy) of Warsaw, KY. In addition to these, he leaves behind several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

The family will recive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, May 22, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held following the visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held on Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
