Martha Fowler
Martha Elizabeth Fowler, 83, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, at a local health care facility.
Ms. Fowler, who lived most of her life in Cleveland and Florida, was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She retired from Duracell Battery after 35 years where she worked as an operator. Ms. Fowler loved the beach, flower gardening, and her puppy, Chico. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Born to the late Ira Blaine and Vida Lucille Walker Fowler, Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Ensley.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ruth Newton (James) of Cleveland, Joyce Allice Goodner of Cleveland, and Elizabeth Ann Logan (Lester) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jason Lynn Huffaker and Sawyer Eli Logan of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Barbara Diane Huffaker, Brookelynn Diane Huffaker, Tanner Chase Huffaker, and Austin Cole Huffaker; sisters, Gracie Disney, Lilly Cox (Junior) of Blue Ridge GA, Carolyn Fowler of Cleveland, and Pam Coffey (Wayne) of Ringgold, GA; brothers, Marvin Fowler (Louise) of Fairmount GA, and Ray Fowler (Barbara) .
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David Disney and Reverend Jason Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A Dove Release Ceremony with Bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
