Linda Downie
Linda L. Downie, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017, at Memorial Hospital. She was 71.
She was born on March 3, 1946 in Hamilton, Oh. Linda married Francis Lee Downie in Hamilton, Oh., on June 20, 1964. Linda and Francis has four children, Michael Downie, David Downie, Angela Thurman, and Lori King. They moved to the Chattanooga area in 1985. They also had 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Travis, Chasity, Michael Jr., Tara, Tasha, Mark Jr., Michelle, Joshua, Haley, Hannah, Kailey, Kristopher, and Kristina; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Lil Jon, Esme, Rosalind, Brayden, Kai, Addalyne, Cali, Ellie Kate, Arabella, Brandon, Randy, Cassidy, Odyssey, Arby, and Mahjur; and sister, Bessie Ray.
Francis preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2006, and her mother, Grace Hubbard, father, Charles Hubbard, brother, Virgil Hubbard also preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
