Gardner, Violet "GG" Sager (Cohutta)

Violet (GG) Sager Gardner, 92, of Cohutta, Georgia, passed away on July 25, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Gardner lived in Mobile, Al., for many years before moving to Cohutta, 23 years ago.

She was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church, Dalton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard (Jenk) Gardner;  son-in-law, Chuck Willis; sister, Hilda Yelverton.

Survivors are her daughter, Gail Willis, Chattanooga; son, Mike Gardner, Cohutta; three grandchildren, Tammy (Randy) Gribble, Chattanooga, Vickie (Rich) Towery, Ringgold, and David (Tracy) Brown, Dallas, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Thompson, Abbie Blake, Kevin Guffey, Kraig Guffey, Katie Moreland, Kody Brown and Kassie Brown; 13 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, July 28, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Scott Parrish and Reverend Sterling Jetton officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. CST at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Al.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Baptist Church, 4268 S. Dixie Road, Resaca, Ga. 30735.
