A joint investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and detectives with the Loudon City Police Department has resulted in the arrest of two men, charged in the May homicide of a Loudon man.

At the request of 9th District Attorney General Russell Johnson, on May 10, TBI agents joined Loudon Police detectives in investigating the murder of James Johnson. The victim was found deceased in his home at 201 Hill Street in Loudon. During the course of the investigation, agents developed information that indicated Christopher Orr of Ooltewah and Clarence Porter of Chattanooga were responsible for the death of James Johnson.

On Aug. 14, the Loudon County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Christopher Blake Orr, 29, and Clarence Porter, 31, each with one count of first-degree murder, one count of especially aggravated robbery, one count of theft over $1,000, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.

On Aug. 17, Porter was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force in Chattanooga. He was booked into the Loudon County Jail and is being held on a $500,000 bond. On Tuesday, Orr was arrested in Jefferson County, Co., where he is awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
