CCS, Hixson Earn Key District Soccer Wins

The Lady Chargers of CCS beat district rival Notre Dame 2-0 Thursday night with second half goals coming from Olivia Hoffman and Laura Beth Turner.   Lillie Cate and Addie Henry had assists on the goals.  

CCS out shot Notre Dame 21-5.   Emily Jipping earned the shutout in the goal.  A win against Grace next week would clinch the Division II AA district championship for CCS.   

CCS improves to 11-1-2 overall and 4-0 in the district.  

Hixson scored two second half goals to beat district opponant East Ridge 3-1.

 Morgan Dupree had two goals for Hixson and Emily Darr had one.  Peyton Burgin had an assist.   Sydney Rigler had four saves for Hixson.   The Lady Wildcats host Sequatchie County on Monday at 7 p.m.
