Trimmier, Sherry Gail

Sherry Gail Trimmier, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018.

She was a lifelong resident of Lookout Mountain and Flintstone. She had been employed by Rock City Gardens, Zayre Department Store and retired from Signal Centers. She loved being around her family and friends, and being at the beach. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Norris, Sr. and Mary Ada (Hollingsworth) Trimmier; and brother, Norris E. Tremmier, Jr. 

Left to cherish her memory are sisters, June (David) Williams, of Lookout Mountain, Dianne (Gary) Shirley, of Suck Creek Mountain and Teresa (Johnny) Shouldiers, of Fairview; and sister-in-law, Joyce Tremmier, of New Salem. Gail was also a beloved aunt to 13 nieces and nephews; beloved great-aunt to 31 great-nieces and great-nephews; and beloved great-great aunt to 29 great-great nieces and nephews, where she played an instrumental process in spoiling them. A special mention to her niece, Kristi Hill McBurnett; niece, Beth Shirley; and great-niece, Savannah Porter, for the care and love you showed her throughout her later life. 

Family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, 555 Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Johnny Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Lookout Mountain. 

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to NHC, Fort Oglethorpe and Hospice of Chattanooga for the care that they gave to Gail.
