A motorcyclist, 25, was critically injured on Tuesday in an accident on Concord Road.
At approximately 5 p.m., the accident occurred at 1800 Concord Road.
The Chattanooga Police Department's Traffic Unit responded to the scene.
A Honda motorcycle was traveling north on Concord Road. A Cadillac, driven by Judy Garvin, 59, was attempting to make a left turn onto Concord Road from Igou Gap Road. Ms. Garvin stated to police that she stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways before proceeding into the intersection. She also stated she did not see any traffic coming until she was in the intersection.
The motorcycle struck the rear of the Cadillac. A witness in a vehicle not directly involved in the crash corroborated the statements made by Ms. Garvin.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital via Hamilton County EMS with critical injuries.
