Sexton, William "Bill"

U.S. Air Force Veteran Was Recipient Of The Distinguished Flying Cross

  • Saturday, December 15, 2018

William “Bill” Sexton passed away on December 11, 2018 at the age of 71.

He lived a full life as a loving father, a devoted grandfather, a caring brother and an amazing husband.

His years in the U.S. Air Force as a Sergeant Loadmaster on C130 would later become his proudest of his life by receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1968 for flying aerial delivery missions to support the Marines at Khe Sanh RVN.

He will be greatly missed by all those that had the opportunity to share in his unique sense of humor and heartfelt compassion for everyone he met throughout his life.

As per his wishes, a private memorial service will be held for immediate family and close friends.

Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation in his name directly to a local veterans’ association.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Sexton family guestbook at www.HamiltonFuneralOptions.com.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, 423 531-3975.
