Iris June Carter, 73, of Flintstone, Georgia, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

Her two children, Kim Ross (Mike) and Brian Carter (Paula) brought to her seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: Johnathan (Jayden, Max and Teagan), Kristopher (Landon Haven and Noah), Emerald (Talon and Ella June), Brianna (Addie & Miller), Josh, Shelby and Nick.

 She retired from Lofe Touch (Olan Mills), and loved to go to car shows.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Carter.  Iris had three sisters and one brother: Sandy Alexander (Jim), Billie Henderson, Jan Shockley (Phillip) and Johnny Lewis (Evie).  She had many friends.

 We will celebrate her life on Sunday, Feb. 25. A memorial visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. with a service at 5 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Valentine themed, because she was the world’s sweetheart. Everyone is welcome to celebrate her life.
