William “Bill” Eugene Mitchell, 69, of Ringgold, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served during Vietnam, and was of the Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Mitchell Sr. and Ella Grace Braswell Mitchell; and two children, Brian Mitchell and Becky Mitchell Fouts.
He is survived by his son Jon Taylor “J.T.” Mitchell of Ringgold; sister, Carolyn Mitchell Peters of Chickamauga; brother, John H. Mitchell Jr. of Hartwell, Ga.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special nephews, Chad Mitchell Ryan and Matthew Logan Ryan; and other nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
