Thelma Louise Langston McCorkle, 75, of Ooltewah, passed away Monday February 19, 2018. A lifelong resident of the North Georgia Chattanooga area, she was a former employee of Dixie Industries, where she worked for nine years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. McCorkle; parents, Clarence Edward and Vertle Lee Land Langston; and brother, Howard Langston.
She is survived by five children, James M. (Charlene) McCorkle of Ooltewah, Donnie R. McCorkle of Overton, T., Gary L. McCorkle of Ooltewah, Jeffery S. (Gwen) McCorkle of Ooltewah and Clarence E. McCorkle of Ooltewah; sister, Joyce (Johnny) Whittemore of Ringgold; brother, Edward Langston of Ringgold; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Donald Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East. The family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
