Morse, Hilda Annette

Hilda Annette Morse, 96, of Flintstone, died Saturday, February 24, 2018 in a local nursing home.  She was president of Morse Brothers Nursery, Inc., and a lifelong resident of North Georgia. She graduated from Chattanooga High School and Edmondson Business College. She was a charter member of the Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church and a former member of The Pilot Club of Chattanooga. Hilda was an honorary member of the Lookout Mountain Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Morse, Sr. and Lillie Varnell; brother, Charles Morse, Jr.; and nephew, Frank Hoge.

She is survived by two nieces: Hilda Morse Flynn (Gerry) and Lynn Morse, Flintstone; and many great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church in Flintstone, with Pastors Ron Ragon and Daniel Gilchrist officiating.               

Memorial contributions may be made to Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive 5-8 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe.
