Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect in an aggravated assault that was reported and posted on social media on Monday.
Police were called to a local hospital regarding a woman who arrived suffering from significant bodily harm that appeared to be caused by another person.
The victim stated to police the assault occurred at approximately
7:30 p.m. on Monday at a residence in the 200 block of Water Street.
CPD officers recovered a Facebook video which captured the assault and a suspect was identified. The video shows the suspect repeatedly kicking and stomping the victim's head and neck area.
On Friday, CPD officers located and arrested the suspect, who is a juvenile. Investigators determined the assault is gang related.
Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau continue to actively investigate this incident. Additional charges could be added as the investigation proceeds.
