Ernest Sheldon
Ernest Sheldon, 75, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday February 4, 2018, at his home.
Sheldon was known for his strong work ethic, never taking short cuts, and always being considerate of others. He had a love for horses and his little dog, “Baby”, but more than anything, he loved his family. Ernest will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Sheldon; parents, Juanita and Robert Sheldon; great-grandson, Joshua Dean Wilson; and great-great-grandson, David Muckhouse.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving daughters, Glenda Cartwright and Linda Wilson (Marty); grandchildren, Jeremy Cartwright (Angie Cherry), Gail Cartwright, Michelle Callahan (Steven), Daniel Wilson, David Wilson, Mary Keith (Eric), Christopher Wilson (Christina Cabera), Rebecca Wilson, James Wilson, John Wilson, Angel Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kyle Hawkins, Carter Hawkins, Mason Callahan, Bryson Callahan, McKayla Callahan, Charity Cartwright, Devin Callahan, Hunter Callahan, Caleb Cherry, Summer Wilson, Kangie Wilson, Josh, Dakota Keith, Anastasia Keith, Ariana Keith, Adrian Keith, Kaylie Wilson, Davin Wilson, Jewels Wilson, Anaya Wilson, and LeighAnn; great-great-granddaughter, Jayden Cherry; sister, Sue Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will have visitation from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, and on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., all at Companion Funeral Home, at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
A celebration of life funeral service is planned for Thursday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Herron officiating the service.
Following the service, Ernest will be laid to rest in the Dill Cemetery in Old Fort.
