Catherine “Kitty” Romita
Catherine “Kitty” Romita, 87, of Signal Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Kitty, as she was affectionately known, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a successful co-owner of a clothing manufacturing company aptly named Kitty Kat Kasuals. She was a fabulous Italian cook, loved to shop, volunteer and play Bridge.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Romita; son, Anthony Romita; parents, Jack and Lucy Esposito; brother, Sonny Esposito, and sister, Frances Cappello.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Valerie (Ralph) Logan, of California, and Kathleen Pillman, of Texas, daughter-in-law, Melody Romita; grandchildren, Kyleigh (Chris) Eaker, Nicholas Logan, Jessica and Kirsten Pillman; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Michael Eaker; several in-laws, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 14, at 11 a.m. with Father Joseph Kuzhupil officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at hospiceofchattanooga.org.
