The Red Raider boys soccer team earned a 3-0 win over Notre Dame Thursday night in the first round of the Baylor soccer tournament.
It was 0-0 at half time.
Baylor's Andrew Hill scored off a cross from Clay Thames in the 45th minute to give Baylor a 1-0 lead.
At the 61st minute, Christian Stophel scored off a Dee Appleberry cross.
Baylor's Ethan Nunes closed out the scoring off an assist from Jake Weekley
"We knew ND had one of their better players out due to injury but Coach Schermerhorn always has ND organized and hard to break down," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said. "It took us awhile to start finding gaps in their defense but we did much better in the second half. We have three more games in two days so we need to recovery quickly."
Baylor out shot Notre Dame 16-3.
Henry Hooks and Mats Pokela combined for the shut out for Baylor.
CCS 6 EAST HAMILTON 0 - CCS beat East Hamilton 6-0 in their opening game of the Baylor tournament.
The score at halftime was 2-0 with goals by Brett Bowman (assisted by Erick Manirakiza) and Erick Manirakiza (assisted by Edimo Nintereste)
Goals in the second half were scored by: Brett Bowman, Daniel Reinink (assisted by River Sarratt), Jack McClearn, and Rhett Pierce.
CCS out shot East Hamilton 10-2. Gaines Tallent and Eli Honeycutt combined in goal for the shutout.
