Marrion Geneva Mullinax, 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, in a local hospital.  

She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God.  She was the first woman contractor in the state of Tennessee, overseeing many houses and buildings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Red” Mullinax; parents, Clymon and Lillie Sliger and two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan Mullinax Linder (Tom) of Atlanta; grandson, Scott Johnson (Carol) of Oklahoma City; three great-grandchildren, Susanna, Daniel and Thomas Johnson and two nephews, Gary Young (Patty) and Donnie Young (Gina).

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, in the Dixon chapel of North Cleveland Church of God with the Reverend Mitch Maloney, Dr. Mark  Williams and Dr. Scott Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3 p.m. on Sunday at the church prior to the service.
