A Chattanooga woman said a man she met on Facebook raped her, choked her multiple times and threatened her with a knife.
Edward Guy Garrett, of 3422 Vinewood Dr., is charged with aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping.
The woman said she began corresponding with him on the Internet about a month ago and finally invited him over for dinner on Friday night. She said they had dinner and he stayed the night. He was still there when she left for work on Saturday.
The woman said when she got off work she found the man asleep on her couch. She had told him that when he left to lock the door behind him.
She said he grabbed her by the throat and told her not to disrespect him. She said he choked her several times.
The woman said after someone came to get her two-year-old child that the man dragged her into the bathroom by the hair and shoulders and began choking her again. He told her, "You're my b----." The woman said she then passed out. She said over the night she blacked out five times.
She said the man forced himself on her sexually multiple times with unprotected sex.
The woman said at one point he got a knife from the kitchen and put it to her throat. She said he told her, "Don't make me kill you" and "Please don't make me bury you" and "Please don't make me kill your kid."
She said she finally was able to make a call and summon police.
Garrett ran out the door as police arrived.
