Alice Kaye Ames, 68, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, at a health care facility.

Alice was born on Nov. 7, 1949, to George Myrick Hewitt and Alfrida Anderson Hewitt in Birmingham, Al. She was a student at Bradley High School and retired from Schering Plough as a secretary. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Myrick Hewitt and Alfrida Anderson Hewitt; daughter, Terri Renee Phillips; father-in-law, George Kenneth Ames Sr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, George Kenneth Ames Jr.; son, Jason (Jennifer) Phillips; grandchildren, Ariana Lowe, Davin Phillips, Christian Phillips, Levi Brown and Cooper Brown; sisters, Jean Hewitt Inscho and Barbara Hewitt Revell; mother-in-law, Frieda Hewitt; sister-in-law, Susan (Jim) Strite; along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date and time.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Bradley Healthcare as well as Barbara Anderson Bailes, a dear friend to Alice and the family.
