Abraham Jackson, 45, Shot On Workman Road

Abraham Jackson, 45, was shot on Workman Road Thursday evening.

The Chattanooga Police Department responded at 6:07 p.m. to reports of a person shot in the area of West 40th St. and West Avenue on reports of a person shot.

Chattanooga Police located Jackson suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS. 

Workman stated to police he was shot while walking in the 500 block of Workman Road. A crime scene was not located.

Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this shooting.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423 698-2525.  The investigation is ongoing.
