John Jones
John Oliver Jones passed away on August 16, 2018.
Born in Harriman, Tn., on Dec. 5, 1949, to Hal and Margaret Jones. John received a B.S. degree in finance from ETSU and a MBA from UTC. He was a real estate appraiser for 30 years. A member of Fairview UMC for the past five years and Signal Crest UMC for 30 years before that. As an avid sports enthusiast, John coached many of his children’s teams and was a member of Rivermont and Signal Mtn Golf and Country Club. He loved his family, friends, reading, and music (“only two kinds – Country & Western”).
He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years, Jamey; daughter, Erin (Keith) Wainwright; sons, Justin (Heather) Jones and Will Jones. John also leaves five grandchildren, Mallory and Parker Wainwright; Jemma Jones; Kate and Will Chambers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Aug. 26, from 2-4 p.m. at North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home with a memorial service following.
