East Ridge, CCS Claim Soccer Wins

The East Ridge girls soccer team beat Cleveland 1-0 Tuesday night.  The goal by Lucy Lopez Mazariegos was scored with five minutes left in the game.   It was assisted by Helen Sales.

East Ridge keeper Sarah Hudgens had 15 saves.   The Lady Pioneers host Howard on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Camp Jordan.  

CCS traveled to Silverdale on Tuesday and score two goals in each half to win 4-0.   Addie Henry had two goals.  Lillie Cate and Mandy Bacon also had goals.   Silverdale keeper Carrie Patrick had 23 saves.  CCS's Lucy Sandhoff and Emily Jipping combined for the shutout with two saves.  

Silverdale drops to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in Division II district 2A play.

CCS is now 1-1-1 and 1-0 in the district.
