DivorceCare Divorce Support Group Begins Sept. 11 At Hope Fellowship Evangelical Presbyterian

  • Friday, August 24, 2018

A local group of DivorceCare Divorce Care Support Group is scheduled to start on Sept. 11 at Hope Fellowship Evangelical Presybterian Church in Chickamauga. The group will meet weekly on Tuesdays for 13 sessions from 7-9 p.m.

"DivorceCare is a network of 15,000+ churches worldwide equipped to offer divorce support groups.  The program is nondenominational and features practical information and biblical teaching on how to recover from divorce or separation," officials said.  "Sessions deal with common concerns such as anger, depression, loneliness, financial survival and how to move on with a healthy and productive life."

The format for each session is a video seminar followed by a group discussion led by individuals who have been divorced and gone through the healing process themselves. The cost for the entire course is $15, to cover the cost of the course workbook. Each session stands alone, so participants can pick up any sessions that they miss during the next 13-week cycle.

"It changed my life at a time when I thought my life was over," commented a participant in a DivorceCare Divorce Care Support Group.

Hope Fellowship is located at the corner of Twin Cedars Road and Highway 27 in Chickamauga. To learn more about this local session, call 423-364-8983 or 706-996-4802.
