Ray Charged In Incident In Which Woman Was Pulled From Car And Sexually Assaulted

A woman told police three youths carjacked her, pulled her pants and underwear down after dragging her from the vehicle, then tried to burn her car.

Gordon Ray, 18, has been arrested after police identified him on video at the Mystic convenience store.

He is charged with aggravated robbery, carjacking, aggravated kidnapping, and sexual battery.

The incident started on Saturday night at 241 West 8th Street.

The woman said the males approached her as she was standing by her car.

One man stayed with her as the others went inside the station with her keys.

They then made her drive to the 1800 block of East 34th Street. She said it was there she was pulled from the car and sexually assaulted.

Ray is under a $150,000 bond.
