Juvenile Killed In 2-Vehicle Wreck On Short Tail Springs Road; Drivers Seriously Hurt

A juvenile was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Short Tail Springs Road on Saturday afternoon.
 
The drivers of the two vehicles were seriously hurt.
 
At approximately 4 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 7500 block of Short Tail Springs Road for the report of a multiple-vehicle accident. 

The accident involved a Hyundai Elantra and a Volkswagen Atlas.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.  

The preliminary investigation shows that after the crash, the two vehicles left the roadway and both struck small trees. 

The driver of the Hyundai Elantra and the driver of the Volkswagen Atlas were transported to local hospitals for treatment for what are considered serious injuries. 

The front seat passenger in the Hyundai Elantra, a juvenile, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The name of the juvenile victim is not being released.
