East Hamilton's Total Destruction Wins Special Olympics Area 4 Regional Volleyball Tournament

This past Saturday, East Hamilton High School hosted a regional volleyball tournament, both unified and traditional, for Special Olympics Area 4.  

Soddy Daisy, Hixson and East Hamilton had Unified teams, and Hixson and East Hamilton Had traditional teams.  Unified teams are made up equally of special needs athletes and regular education partners.  

In the Traditional tournament, East Hamilton held off both Hixson teams to take first place, while in the Unified Tournament, East Hamilton’s Total Destruction beat East Hamilton’s Storm Surge to take their 9th straight Area 4 Tournament.  

Hixson defeated Soddy to take third place in the tournament.  With their win, Total Destruction has punched their ticket to the State of Tennessee Special Olympics Volleyball Tournament.  

The Total Destruction team members are Ryan Black, Trevor Belcher, Aaron Young, Manases Gonzalez, and Denis Ovalle, and their partners were Jordyn Griffith, Brighton Ralls, Hannah Grey, Allison Giles, and Madison Allen
