Hamilton County Schools Closed On Friday; Other Schools Announce Closings Or Delays

Hamilton County Schools will be closed on Friday due to the amount of rain that has fallen in the last few hours and the amount expected between now and tomorrow. 

School-age child care will be open at seven locations from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. to assist parents.  The locations for child care are: Battle Academy, East Brainerd Elementary, East Ridge Elementary, Harrison Elementary, Middle Valley Elementary, Red Bank Elementary, and Wolftever Creek Elementary. 12 month employees should report on a two-hour delay.

Bradley Co. Schools: Closed Tomorrow
Catoosa County Public Schools: Delayed 2 hours
Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy: Delayed 1 hour
Chickamauga City schools: Delayed 2 hours
Cleveland City Schools: Closed Tomorrow
Dade Co. Schools: Delayed 2 hours
Etowah City Schools: Closed Tomorrow
Grundy Co. schools: Closed Tomorrow
Hamilton Co. Schools: Delayed 2 hours
McMinn Co. schools: Closed Tomorrow; Due to inclement weather
Meigs Co. Courthouse: Closed Tomorrow; Senior Center also closed
Meigs Co. Schools: Closed Tomorrow
Oakwood Christian Academy: Delayed 1 hour
Orange Grove Center: Buses are running 2 hours late
Rhea Co. Schools: Closed Tomorrow
Richard Hardy Memorial School: Closed Tomorrow
Soddy Church of Christ District 2: Delayed 2 hours
Sweetwater City Schools: Closed Tomorrow
Valley Christian Academy: Closed Tomorrow
Van Buren Co. schools: Closed Tomorrow; due to weather
Walker Co. Schools: Delayed 2 hours
