A school record six McCallie School swimmers will compete this week in the NCSA Junior Nationals in Orlando, Fl.
Representing the 2019 Tennessee State Champions are seniors Jake Marcum and Max Ransom, juniors Reece Gallagher and Will Jackson, sophomore Kyle Berry and freshman Sam Powe.
Marcum, an Indiana University signee and the 2019 State Champion in the 200 freestyle, will compete in the 50, 100 and 200 backstroke and the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle.
Jackson will race in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle, an event in which he won this year’s state title.
Ransom has qualified for the 50, 100 and 200 butterfly, the 50 and 100 backstroke and the 100 freestyle.
Gallagher is in the 50 and 100 breaststroke and the 100 and 200 individual medley, Powe will swim the 50, 100 and 200 backstroke and the 200 freestyle, and Berry qualified for the 50 and 100 backstroke.
A variation of McCallie’s swimmers will also race in five separate relays.
