A man and woman showed up at a Chattanooga hospital late Wednesday night with gunshot wounds.
Around 11:40 p.m., Chattanooga Police were notified of the two wounded persons, a 32-year-old female and a 31-year-old male.
Police responded to the hospital to speak with the victims who advised they had been in the area of the 2100 block of East 26th Street.
Officers were able to locate and secure the crime scene. The CPD Violent Crimes Bureau was notified and responded.
The victims advised investigators that they were outside when an unknown man approached them and began shooting at them.
