Longtime Chattanoogan Worked In The Medical Field For Many Years

Ollie P. Pierce, 85, passed away at her home on August 21, 2019. 

Ms. Pierce lived in this area for 69 years. Ollie was a long-time member of Ekklessia Baptist Tabernacle, present day Savannah Bay Baptist. She worked in the medical field for over 20 years.

Ms. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Pierce; son, Robert L. Pierce; grandson, David Michael Pierce.

She is survived by her sister, Gladys Leab, Lake City, TN; sons, Gary (Joy) Pierce, Harrison, TN; Randy (Debbie) Pierce, Otto, NC; Dana Pierce, Warren, NJ.; daughters, Rhonda Pierce, Ooltewah, TN, Gwen (Mitchell) Swafford, Ooltewah; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 26, from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, at Webb Road and Highway 58. The service will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Greg Bolton officiating.  Ms. Pierce will be laid to rest with her husband in National Cemetery.
