Wayne Darwin Landreth, 68, went to be with our heavenly father on Friday September 13, 2019.

Knowing him, he is up there dancing with his mom to Elvis Presley, or swimming in the ocean. He was a resident of Soddy Daisy, retired from Tennessee Valley Authority, and served his country in the Air Force as a medic. In his retirement he worked as the Family Services Counselor for Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Wayne was a loving father and grandfather as well as a dear friend to many in his community. He was a dedicated Christian and attended The Ministry Center in Hixson, where he was a member of the church choir. He was always off on the next adventure especially if the trip revolved around good food and laughs.

Wayne was the son of the late Robbie Landreth Sneed and W. D. Landreth.

Surviving family includes his daughter, Amanda Landreth Niel (Erik), grandson, Cade Preston Niel, brother, James Mitchell “Mickey” Landreth (Mel), and his sister, Judy Collier (Buddy).

The family will receive friends at a memorial service on Friday, Sept. 20, at The Ministry Center in Hixson from 1-2 p.m. with the service starting at 2 p.m. led by Pastor Jimmy Talley.

A private family service will be at The National Cemetery on Monday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of Chattanooga and Siskin Hospital.
