Carolyn Allen Tatum, 74, of Chattanooga, made her peaceful transition from earth to heaven on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.  

She joins her parents, Calvin and Irma Belton Allen, Sr.  

Her memory is cherished by her beloved husband of 51 years, James Edward Tatum, Sr.; two devoted sons, James II, and Jerrold (Tracy) of Nashville; four loving grandchildren, Jasmin, James III, Justin, and Jaren; and a host of relatives and dear friends.  

A special thanks is extended to Mark Mollenkof with Hospice of Chattanooga and Gwen Jackson for their loving care and support.   

Carolyn will lie in state on Sunday, Sept. 22, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Omega Omega Ceremony at 10:30 a.m.  

Visitation will follow at 11 a.m. with the funeral at noon in the chapel with Pastor Andrew Bullard III, as the officiant and eulogist.  Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
