Public Hearing Set On Effect Of I-75/I-24 Work On Nearby Wetlands

A public hearing will be Sept. 19 on the effect of the major road project at I-75 and I-24 on nearby wetlands.

It will be at East Ridge High School, 4320 Bennett Road. An information session is at 5:30 p.m. and public hearing at 6:30 p.m.

It is being conducted by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).

The project affects six wetlands and two streams.

The $134 million project is set to be completed in 2021.
