CHI Memorial Mobile Mammography Coach To Visit Downtown Chattanooga At Color Chattanooga Pink! Block Party At Unum

Tuesday, January 14, 2020
CHI Memorial’s mobile health coach will provide mammography screenings in downtown Chattanooga at the Color Chattanooga Pink! Block Party at Unum, 500 Walnut St. in Chattanooga, on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

"All women should have one screening mammogram between the ages of 35-40," officials said. "After age 40, a screening mammogram is recommended every year.  Any woman who meets these age guidelines and has not had a mammogram in the past 12 months may participate, with or without insurance.

"For those with insurance, you must bring your insurance card and a photo ID, such as a driver’s license.
Insurance will be filed for you.  If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for financial assistance.  The MaryEllen Locher Breast Center partners with Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program and the Susan G. Komen Foundation to provide eligible uninsured and under-insured women with breast and cervical screenings.  If an abnormality is discovered, the diagnostic work up is covered and a financial plan is provided for any follow-up care.

"Women need to know their doctor’s first and last name."

To schedule a screening, call 423-495-4040 or 866-591-2254.  Walk-ins are welcome.

Unum, the Color Chattanooga Pink! sponsor, is hosting the block party to raise awareness about and money for the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at CHI Memorial.  The block party will be on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The event is open to the public.  Attendees can buy Pink! T-shirts and hats, grab a bite to eat from a selection of food trucks and enjoy other local vendors.

A Lack Of Civility At The Women's Rally

The behavior of our local radical left women was abusive and uncalled for. The next Woman’s Rally and March should be lessons in common decency and civility towards other women. Interrupting an invited female speaker with displays of yelling and holding up disparaging signs is wrong. The women before me that broke the barriers in male-dominated professions would be embarrassed ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: Three From "Anonymous"

With all of the hoopla over transgendered athletes, you need to know there is a woman out there who is eager to be a ‘trans-species.’ She wants to be a bear.
