William Vaughn
William Lonell Vaughn, Jr., 69, of Hixson, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, in a local hospital.
He was a 1969 graduate of Howard High School. William was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was formerly employed by U.S. Pipe & Foundry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Johnnie Vaughn, Sr.; sister, Barbara Vaughn; brother, Early Vaughn, Jr.; and great-nephew, Quintus Vaughn.
Survivors include his son, Mallory Vaughn of Chattanooga; daughters, LaTara (Garland, Sr.) Byrd of Nashville, and Farren Vaughn of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Josiah Byrd, Jaylen Sampler, Raequann Freeman, Deliah Vaughn, and Savannah Vaughn; one niece; two nephews; ex-wife, Breatha Vaughn; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
