Dalton Apartments Damaged By Fire Early Sunday Morning

The Dalton Fire Department responded Sunday morning to a structure fire at the Underwood Lodge apartments at 1306 Underwood Street.
 
When units arrived on the scene they found fire showing from two units and the attic. Crews were dispatched at 2:03 a.m. and arrived on scene at 2:09 a.m. The incident was cleared at 4:45 a.m. There were no injuries reported. 

At this time, the cause of the fire has not been determined and the fire is being investigated.
Two and a half units have fire damage and several more have smoke and water damage.
 
38 residents were displaced by the incident and the Red Cross was contacted to assist with four of the residents. 

Officers from the Dalton Police Department also responded to the scene and assisted with evacuating residents.
