Sculptor John Henry has sued Joseph Lipsey III, saying he will not give him access to a building where he has a number of items stored.
Mr. Henry, who said he now lives in Hernando County, Fla., said on Oct. 15, 2018, his Structure Group sold Mr. Lipsey several parcels in Chattanooga. He said he had items stored in the buildings and was assured he would have access to remove them, it was stated.
The Circuit Court suit says Mr. Henry suffered from a number of illnesses early last March which left him in a serious medical condition.
He said he was not able to remove any of the items due to his condition.
The suit says in September Mr. Henry spoke with Mr. Lipsey about his illness and was told he could leave the items and get them later.
After the expiration of the original time set for removing the items, the plaintiffs have made numerous attempts to contact Mr. Lipsey, but he has refused to respond, it was stated.
The personal items include certain unique artworks, supplies and equipment, the suit says.
The suit asks the return of the property.
