Kirk Wayne Alexander passed into eternity on May 27, 2020.   

 

Kirk was born to Roger and Donna Alexander on September 13, 1983, in Dalton, Georgia.  

 

He graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in English degree.  While there, he was chosen to study literature at The University of Oxford in England during his senior year.  

After graduation, he worked for The Department of Family and Children Services of Catoosa County.  

 

Kirk was a faithful son to his parents, a loving brother to his sisters, Jessica and Carla, a playful and committed uncle to his niece Bethany and nephew Eyan.  He was generous, friendly, funny, and loving to his friends and family.  

 

Kirk enjoyed outdoor adventures, computer technology, writing, poetry, traveling, cooking, and using Latin.   He loved his dogs, a border collie named Spera and a golden retriever named Aurius. His passing leaves a grief that only heaven can heal.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wally and Louise Alexander, Milan Dekich, and Mildred Emerson.

  

Survivors include his parents, Roger and Donna (Dekich) Alexander; sisters, Carla (Preston) Munsey and Jessica (Matt) Manis; niece, Bethany Munsey, nephew, Eyan Manis, and beloved dog Aurius.

 

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating. Interment will follow in Plowman Cemetery.                             

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mckamey Animal Center (www.mckameyanimalcenter.org).
