Cooper Knecht Scores Five Times To Lead Eagles

Grave Baptist Academy continued its unbeaten run through eight-man football Friday night with a 40-33 win on the road at Franklin Christian. The Eagles came from behind in the second half to seal the victory.

Trailing 20-14 at the midway point and 27-20 after three quarters, Grace outscored the Falcons, 20-6, in the final quarter. In the end it was all Cooper Knecht who ran for three touchdowns in the final stanza. The winning score coming with 22 seconds left in the game from four yards out.

All told, Knecht ran for 286 yards on 27 carries and five scores. The talented signal caller also passed for 88 yards. His Franklin counterpart, Zach Dooley threw for 222 yards and two scores, while the Falcons’ Sam Oberhousen ran for 231 yards on 13 carries.
